New York in November 2017

I am going to New York in the next few weeks! I am so excited. It's a spontaneous trip a family friend and I planned for his birthday and I am beyond excited. There's so much to prepare, and plan before we leave in mid November. I have been going on a pinterest pinning spree on everything New York related. I thought I would share with you some of the places I want to visit, and some of the posts that I have been using to do my New York research.

Cayman Islands Sea Turtle Farm

For my birthday this year my dreams finally came true. If you know me, you know that my obsession with Sea Turtles is real, over the top even. We went on a cruise and specifically went to the Cayman Islands just so I can finally touch a Sea Turtle. I was in heaven. It was the most amazing experience of my life and I cherished it so much. Until I found out what really happens at the Cayman Islands Sea Turtle Farm.

7 Essential Items For An Early Fall Wardrobe

The time has come for us to sit down and sing Slipping through my fingers by Abba, as a lament to summer. It’s nearly gone, and it’s a sad fact we have to come to terms with. Still, there is no need to despair. In our opinion, there is plenty to look forward to – the Indian summer (hopefully) and the gorgeous colors that early fall graces us with. Fall is actually a wonderful season in many ways, style and fashion included. It provides us with the opportunity to experiment with layers, colors and prints in warm tones.

Life Lately.

Life. Life has been happening lately. I have been  T w e n t y - S i x  years old for almost three months now. I look back at the last year and realize how different so many things are. How different Summer was last year, then it is this year. How much I've grown and learned about myself, and how independent, confident, and strong I have become.

Tori, Josue, & Maynor ♡ ((What July Means To Me))

     J U L Y .

For most people, this month means only Summertime. It means going to the beach, hanging out in the ocean, lounging by the pools, and so many other things. For a handful of people in the Miami area, it means all those things, but mostly remembrance. It means sadness, and heart ache.

10 Things You Need To Know About Eye Lash Extensions!

I have been getting my lashes done for the last three months and I am never going all natural again. One of my really great friends, Alexis Love, is an Eye Lash Technician here in South Florida. She is amazing at what she does. She recently just started her own Eyelash Business and I interviewed her and asked her a few important questions about Lashing that I think everyone who does them, or is interested in getting them done, should know.

Chocolate Covered Salty Chips

Yes, you read that right. Chocolate covered Potato Chips. I saw this the other day on Pinterest and I immediately wanted to try it. I love all things salty and sweet, and when you combine the two, it's honestly heaven in your mouth. This is the easiest NO BAKE snack that you can make in less then 20 minutes.

Rebecca Floral by TOBI

I have always been a sucker for floral print. If it's got a flowery pattern on it, you better believe that I am going straight to that. Whether it be in person at a store, or online shopping flowers always call my name.

Birthday Cruise Recap

Last week I visited the beautiful Tropical Islands of Ocho Rios, Jamaica & Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. It was such a fun trip. A group of four of us went and had the most amazing vacation. It was a whole week cruise with three ship days and two port stops.

Boat Day For My 26th Birthday

I know I say this every year, but my twenty-sixth birthday was the best one yet. It was a lot more relaxed than last year, and I didn't go all out with a party or an event every day of the weekend. I was going on a cruise for a whole week so I wanted to do something more tranquil and that I can include my family.

26 Things I want out of my Twenty-Sixth Year.

T-minus five days until I am officially over the hill. Over a quarter of a century will be gone. May 8, 2017 will come and go and I will be 4 years away from being Thirty. Holy Crap I am so old. Ok, maybe I am being a little over dramatic, but where does the time go? I remember turning thirteen, then eighteen and twenty-one as if it were yesterday. I remember still depending on my mother to do everything. I remember being young and care free with absolutely no responsibilities. Now, there's barely any time in the day. Is time going by faster?

Martha Of Miami Store

Everyone STOP what you are doing and listen up!! There is a new craze in the Miami area and it's the Home of the Piña Colada. Martha of Miami. Oh, you've never heard of it? Well, it's a brand new online store that is picking up speed and taking South Florida by storm. They sell Ts for men, women and even babies, accessories, and home decor.

What To Pack For A Week Long Cruise

L a d i e s  and Gents, my birthday is in 13 days. That is less than two weeks that I will be twenty-six. Less than two weeks that I will be on a whole week cruise enjoying my birthday with wonderful friends and family. We are hopping aboard yet another Carnival cruise and sailing away to Jamaica and the Cayman Islands. I am beyond excited.

Ally's Bachelorette Cruise ♡

A month ago, some of my best friends and I celebrated our girl Ally on her final weekend getaway before The big day. What a trip it was. Honest to say, it was one of the funnest vacations I have ever been on. We hopped on a Spring Break / St. Patricks Day cruise to the Bahamas. We met a great group of people, drank a little more than we probably should have, danced like no one was watching, and had the time of our lives.

Why Being Confident Is So Sexy!

Someone today asked me what my favorite non-physical attribute about myself was. Usually a question like this would take me forever to answer. I'd have to think very hard about my statement. Not surprising to myself now, it was very easy to answer.

What Have I Been Up To?

Yes I know, I wasn't really gone for that long. Did you miss me though? I go through these phases where I need to blog every single day or I lose my mind, or I don't want to blog for months at a time. It's always one extreme to the next with me. I can never find a common ground lol.

10 Things Every Woman Learns When She Is Single

I am  g u i l t y.  I am guilty of being one of those women that when I am in a relationship, I put my all into said relationship. Now, that's not to say that It's a bad thing. I can be the most amazing girlfriend in the entire planet. I will put my partner first, and my relationship as my top priority. The downside is, that I may give too much. So much so, that sometimes I put my wants and needs on the back burner. Well, being single for a while now has made me realize many things. Below are 10 things us as women learn, when we are single.

1. Value of Relationships. In a new relationship, you want to be with that new person 24/7. That's understandable, but don't let your friendships fall by the wayside. I can't tell you how many times I've had my heartbroken and my girls and family, are always there for me. No matter how many relationships you have in your life, those closest to you will always stick around, and have your back. That saying, bros before hoe's can also be for the ladies. Guys come and go but your friends and family are forever!

2. Solitude. I've learned that I like being alone. I can relax, be by myself, and be happy in my own company. I use to believe I was afraid to be alone, but now I know that being alone does not mean that I am lonely.

3. Independence. I've taken control of my own life and I don't need others to attain any of my goals. Studies have proven that the more of an independent woman you are, the happier and stronger you feel. You can do whatever you want, whenever you want without worrying about what others think. You learn that you don't need a man to do anything. Besides, I can most likely do anything better and faster than if I ask a man to do it.

4. Settling Sucks. There is a Cuban saying "Mejor Sola Que Mal Acompañada". It means better off alone than in bad company. You will learn that you should never settle for less than what you deserve. You deserve the world and to be treated with the same love you are willing to give. Love is not a business contract. You need just as much passion as you do friendship and visa versa in the relationship. You need to find a balance. If you settle, there may be a day in your future where you feel as if you are missing something. Remember, in the end you're stuck with each other. I would much rather wait for that true once in a lifetime love, then be in a relationship with someone that just makes me feel average

5. Fall In Love With Yourself Again. Many of us spend most of our lives looking for a partner to love. We're doing it all wrong. How can you find someone to love when you don't love you personally? Falling in love with oneself in a non selfish way, makes you more aware of your life. It helps you understand your worth and potential. If there is something you don't enjoy about yourself, fix it or change it. Once you love yourself, the love that you can give to others is limitless.

6. Ignore your past. When you are single you learn to ignore the past and focus on the future. What happened previous can not be changed. You can however, change what will happen in your future. Your past is a very precious experience. Without it, you would not be the strong woman you are today. Learn to let the past go, and look forward to all that is to come.

7. Be Selfish. You learn that being selfish is means two completely different things. The good kind of selfish helps you take control of your emotional, personal and physical needs. You need to start worrying about you first and others later. Being a little selfish can make the world around you better. Taking care of yourself first has been proven to make you healthier, happier, and more established.

8. Masturbation comes easy. Girl, on a less serious note. You finally have some time to yourself to learn what you like and what you don't. You have time to practice (;

9. Confidence. When single, you learn to be confident. Lack of self confidence, may and will bring you so many problems in your life and possibly in future relationships. When you're confident, you never take anything personally. You feel as if your life has purpose. You're insecurities become minuscule and you exude happiness.

10. Discover who you are. Knowing who you are as a woman is the most wonderful feeling. It's everything on this list and more rolled into one. You have confidence, you are independent. You are happy. You discover what makes you, well you and the purpose for your life. You understand what you want out of life and what you believe in. I read somewhere that it is a moment of spiritual awakening. I am not fully there just yet. Discovering who your true self is may take a while. We as women are constantly changing, but just know that once you get there, life and everything else is just heavenly.

Not being in a relationship has taught me so much about myself. I am constantly learning and changing. I've learned that life goes on and bigger and better things are coming my way. Just know that I am happy and I can not wait to see what the future has in store for me.

My Travel Bucket List for the Next 5 Years

I love to travel and I do not get to as often as I would like.

With work and life getting in the way, It's difficult to find the time and the money to travel at all. I really hope I get to go to as many of these countries and places on my list as possible. I definitely have a serious case of wanderlust. I enjoy experiencing new things, people and places. Travel is an adventure in itself, and I will never say no to adventuring.

With budgeting being a huge factor, I honestly do not know If I will be able to travel to everything on my list, so I have narrowed it down to my five top places I would like to visit in the next 5 years.

1. Cayman Islands

I have been to the Cayman Islands once before, but when I was much younger. I would love to visit it now that I am older and visit the Sea Turtle Farm. It's a dream of mine, and a biggie on my everyday bucket list to swim, touch and hold a Sea Turtle.

I thought it was only fair to put this first on my list, because I want to do this as presently as possible.

2. Fiji

I have always envisioned myself with my future hubby, in our own personal bungalow in the middle of the ocean on our honeymoon. This is definitely a dream vacation of mine.

3. Tuscany

Italy in general would be a desire of mine, but most specifically Tuscany. I know this is cliche, but ever since the movie "Under The Tuscan Sun" I have always wanted to travel there. I just want to be surrounded by beautiful flower fields and vineyards.

4. Cuba

Never in my Twenty-Five years of living, did I ever think I would travel to my mothers homeland. My family left Cuba back in 1983. My mother has never been back. Now with the laws changing, and it being a little easier to travel there, I would love to take my mom back to her roots. I would love to learn and see where she grew up.

Granted, it still very difficult for Cuban Americans to travel there, but I would love to be able to give her that gift.

5. Greece

Have you ever seen the photos of the houses on the hill right on the water? The ocean water is a dark clear blue. It's heavenly. I can imagine myself on a romantic vacation. I'm enjoying the food, the culture, the people.

There is so much history in that country, and I would love to experience it all.

What are your top 5 places on your travel bucket list?!

4Simple Rules...

Happy Monday everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. With everything crazy going on in my life right now, I had a breakthrough. I realized that I need to change a few things about myself. No matter how positive I try to be, I'm honestly not being that positive at all. I need to block all the negativity and just keep moving forward. I need to look at the situation life has thrown at me right now, not as an ending of a horrible chapter, but a beginning of a beautiful strong new story.

I want to finally discover my true self. Focus on my needs and my wants, let go of the toxicity and poisonous people in my life, and finally get my shit together. Below are 4 simple rules to help you begin to change your life around.

1. Wake Up Early // I know this seems so minuscule, but it makes a world of a difference. That saying, the early bird gets the worm, could not pertain more to this. The later you stay sleeping in, the more tired your body and brain will actually feel once you do wake up. Waking up early also helps you maintain a healthier diet because you wont skip breakfast and you'll also get more stuff done.

2. Never Go More Than Three Days without Exercise // I hate working out. Absolutely would forgo it if it could. That's one thing I need to change. I need to exercise more and live a healthier lifestyle. Going to the gym or doing any type of exercise 4 to 5 days a week is very crucial for your physical and mental health. Not missing more than three days will keep you on that routine and help you get to your weight loss goal faster!

3. Make Time To Read Everyday // Losing yourself in a great novel or story can be what you need to relieve some stress. It also helps with mental stimulation and memory skills, as well as helps you improve your concentration and focus. Whether it be a romance novel, a self help book, or just an article from todays current events, reading is beneficial in so many ways.

4. Work Harder Than You Think You Did Yesterday // Never stop working to get better. If you tried your hardest yesterday, try harder than that today. Keep working to better yourself, and you will never be dissatisfied.

What are some other simple life rules that you live by?

Have an amazing week!

Single Girls Guide To A Perfect Valentines Night

I love Valentines Day. Sadly, this year will be the first year in a while that I don't have my special someone to celebrate and share this love filled day with. I don't want to get to much into detail about the why's and why nots, but if you don't have anyone this year like me, that's ok!  I am not going to let the day go to waist and neither should you. It lands on Tuesday this year, so it's the perfect mid week excuse to treat yourself to a night of being a homebody, and doing some of your favorite things. Below I have compiled a list of some of my favorite stuff to have and things to do that will help you make your night perfect.

1. Wine. Grab your favorite glass of wine, and go to town. Wine always relaxes me and sets me in a calm chill mood. You can always go to Walmart and choose from an array of inexpensive yet really yummy wines. Some of my favorites are the Arbor mist brand, which comes in many flavors and is very simple yet sweet, or Riunite Lambrusco which is more of a desert red wine.

2. Bubble Bath. Go and pick up some Lush Products. Turn on some soft music, light some candles and throw those lush bombs and bubble bars in a warm hot bath. This will definitely help you de-stress and un-wind. What I also love to include in my bubble baths, is a nice glass of some wine. You cal always forgo the music and turn on Netflix on your ipad or laptop.

3. Make Homemade Pizza. Pizza definitely always makes me a happy girl. You can always skip making it yourself and go order some from your favorite local pizza joint, but there is just something so satisfying about making it yourself. You can add how ever much cheese or toppings you like. One way to add in some Valentine spirit, is make the pizza mini heart shaped. How cute!

4. Romantic Comedies Marathon. It's the day of love. Go pick out a few of your favorite love stories and get lost in the romance. Fair warning though, this might make you a bit sad, so make sure to have your wine and pizza hearts handy. But, it honestly shouldn't. You get to watch your favorite love stories without being interrupted or dealing with testosterone. Enjoy it. Some of my favorite movies would be any of the classics. Such as Casablanca, Frank Sinatra's Guys and Dolls, or even Jean Kelly's Singing in The Rain.

5. Comfy Pjs. This is probably the best part of the whole night. Not having to worry about what you're wearing or who is going to see you. Bring out those fluffy socks and silky night dresses and enjoy the freeness.

6. Snacks. While you're at Walmart grabbing that wine, don't forget the snacks. Lots and lots of Junk food. Your favorite candies, popcorn, your top choice for a large tub of ice cream. Have at it. The best part of staying in on a night like Valentines, is being able to stuff your face with as many sweets as possible.

Now don't think that this night is only perfect for the single ladies, if you do have a special someone, a night like this would be just as wonderful. You can have a bubble bath, make pizza, watch movies with your loved one. Either way, single or not, this is probably the best way to spend your Valentine's Day on a Tuesday Night.

I am 25 Years Old, & I still Don't Know What To Do With My Life.

Just a warning, this is by far not a happy post. Skip over this one lol.

I am currently at a crossroads. I hate when I write my most personal issues, feelings and emotions for the whole world to see, but I honestly just feel like I need to let it out. I will be 26 in less than 3 months. I have no career, no set life goals, my personal relationships aren't at the place I would prefer them to be. I have no money to my name, my credit sucks, and I feel as if I have no purpose.

Damn, I am definitely a catch. NOT.

I have been trying to stay positive, and look at the bright side of things. For the most part I have been able to do that, but it's just getting harder and harder not to fall in a funk. In the end, my life really isn't all that bad. I am not unhealthy nor is anyone extremely close to me. I have family, friends, and people in my life who truly care about me. I have shelter and I am never hungry. Life should be wonderful right?

Well, nope.

To me it's not.

How do I get my shit together and my life started? How do I figure everything out? I am so lost and confused and don't know where to begin. I don't know if I want to go to school or skip it all together. I don't know if I want to be a teacher or go into writing. I don't know If I just want to be a mom and a housewife, or have a career and all that. I just don't know.

When I was younger I had my life planned out. Marry my high school sweetheart by 21. Have kids by 25 and graduate a University by 26. Stupid I know. Life doesn't work that way. Nothing turned out the way I wanted it to, and I don't know if that's ok.

I am so lost with my life right now. I wish I was more motivated to take control and figure out what I want for my future. I have never felt like this before and it's actually a bit depressing. I should have my shit together by now. I shouldn't be my age, and not have a solid relationship, a solid career, or a solid set life.

how gloomy.

Ok, That's it. I let out all my nasty toxic talk. No more negative, depressing crap. I'm done with it. Time to move forward and get motivated. Wish me luck.

sorry for the rant.

February Goals 2017.

F e b r u a r y.  I love this month. Filled with love and so many birthdays, and winter officially comes to Florida. It's usually the coldest month of the year. I also have a lot going on this month. With my blog anniversary coming up, my actual anniversary with Chaz, the super bowl this weekend, Ally's bridal shower, and starting to plan everything out for her Bachelorette cruise, I got my hands full. I haven't really been keeping up with my goals so far, so I really plan on sticking to them this month.

1. Save Money. I finally have my bills and everything in check. I really want to start saving. I'm going to be twenty-six years old in 3 months. I need to get my money situation in order already. I plan on saving $400 this month. Fingers crossed.

2. Book my birthday Cruise. As stated before, my birthday is in 3 months. My dream is to be able to swim and hold a Sea Turtle. They have a Sea Turtle farm in the Cayman Islands and I would really like to go visit it for my birthday. I figured going on a cruise and celebrating my birthday for a whole week sounds like a whole lot of fun.

3. Change my Oil. I have this seriously bad habit that I don't change my oil when I am actually suppose to. It seems like a dumb and not so important goal because it totally is, but I need to change this horrible habit, before my car decides to die on me.

4. Plan a cheap romantic Valentines Day. Sucks that it lands on a Tuesday this year, but I would really like to enjoy it this time around. Last year we didn't really do anything, and this year I want to figure out some fun romantic inexpensive things to do, like have a pizza date, or go to the drive in. I'll figure it out.

5. Lose at least 5 pounds. Guy's I'm not even joking when I tell you that I am overweight. My grandma even told me that my ass looks bigger. She was complimenting me. Which is wonderful in my book, but I only gave her a half thank you lol. It's not wonderful when my stomach matches my butt just in the opposite direction. Ok, I might be exaggerating, but I am the heaviest I have ever been and I need to start losing weight before that cruise. So this month. I'm setting my goal at 5 pounds, but I am definitely aiming for more.

6. Figure out a Giveaway for my One Year blogiversary. I'm keeping this under wraps until I have my plan. My blog anniversary is February 29, but since it's not a leap year I will be celebrating it February 28 <3

Have you figured your goals out for the month?

Wanderlust Tag

Jen from Budget Girl Life tagged me in a Q&A, and you know I'm never one to turn these down. It's been a while since I've done one of these plus they're so much fun. I love to travel, and though I don't get to as much as I would like, I hope I can cross off a few things from my Travel Bucket List this year. Come on and join the Travel Tag fun <3

1. Where are you from?
I'm from beautiful sunny Miami.

2. How many countries have you visited?

I have visited six countries not including the United States. I've been to Jamaica, Mexico, Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Cayman Islands, and Haiti.

3. Why do you travel?

Traveling is all about relaxation, and getting out of your comfort zone. I love learning about new cultures, and experiencing new things that I am not able to do in everyday life.

4. Favorite country?

That I have visited, would have to be the Bahamas. That island life, is exactly what I would love to be doing. They have such a go with the flow relaxed life and that is my personality one hundred percent. That I have not visited, and have only seen in pictures or heard of, would have to be Fiji. Yes, more island living. The waters are so clear and beautiful. It's just another relaxed laid back lifestyle.

5. Most memorable experience abroad?

The most memorable would have to be when I went to Jamaica and climbed the Dunn's River falls in Ocho Rios. I love anything that gives me an adrenaline rush. Climbing 180 feet of waterfall rocks was so fun, scary, and thrilling. Read more about it here.

6. Where was your first plane ride to?

My first plane ride was to the Dominican Republic. I believe I was 13 years old. We went for a family trip and it was one of the funnest vacations I have ever had.

7. Something you always pack when traveling?

I always pack my camera. I can not go anywhere with out it. Especially when I am traveling. Some of the photos I take mean so much because of the views and memories that I want to keep forever.

8. Where would you travel to just to eat the food?

This is the easiest question on the list. Italy. I love pizza. My mouth is watering just thinking about real authentic Italian Pizza and cuisine.

9. Where would you love to travel to?

Everywhere. I would love to travel the world. My to five places though, would have to be Italy, Greece, Paris, Fiji, and Hawaii.

10. Are you currently saving up for a trip?

Yes! I have to trips in the works. One to the Bahamas the end of March and I am planning another one to Jamaica and the Cayman Islands for my birthday in May.

11. Favorite accent in the world?

Definitely would have to say an Australian Accent or an Italian accent.

12. Least favorite travel destination?
None that I have been to so far.

13. Preferred method of travel?

Road Trips. If it is possible to drive to my destination, I would. I love road trips.

14. Hostel, hotel or Air BnB?

I have never stayed in a Hostel or Air BnB. I have heard good things about them, but being honest, I would probably always choose a hotel. Just the luxuries of it and all the amenities

15. Tips for flying long-haul?

Come prepared. Bring extra things to keep you occupied. Your laptop, a book to read, etc. Bring a blanket or sweater in case you're freezing. Also take a neck pillow. They always come in handy. Oh and bring snacks that you can take on a plane.

16. Worst part about traveling?

You may be having so much fun that the time goes by so quickly. Also coming home. No one likes the end of the trip.

17. Most treasured passport stamp?

I haven't traveled anywhere yet where they give you the stamps. I know, I need to get it moving.

18. Favorite travel website?

Carnival Cruise line. I love traveling and going on Cruises. They have all the accommodations of many places to visit, but also you never have to drive anywhere and it's all you can eat.
